Floral design with a difference
We are The Wylding:
A floral design studio on a mission to bring the natural, seasonal beauty of the British countryside into as many lives as possible.
Our designs are on the wild side: inspired by what we see when we walk the streets, heaths, parks and woodlands that surround us: we celebrate the curves and kinks of garden-grown flowers, and the turning leaf colours of our native trees.
We find beauty in most places we look: nuts, fruits, branches and ‘volunteer’* plants are all fair game, and can be elevated to designs of great beauty and meaning with time, intent and imagination.* (aka weeds)
What we do
Celebrations - Farewell flowers - Retail - Events - Workshops - Editorials
Sourcing & Sustainability
We work hard to source our flowers from British flower farms and plant nurseries that grow sustainably and organically. We pick and forage from our own small piece of ancient woodland in Kent, which we manage using regenerative practises to support biodiversity.
Community
We believe in community and the power of growing together for mental and physical wellbeing. We are building a friendly network of local growers, from allotmenteers to green-fingered OAPs, who bring real heart and love to our designs. Wherever possible, we source from community nurseries with a social purpose.
Storytelling
Our respective backgrounds in brand design and documentary-making reflect our obsession with storytelling through flowers: to us, every vase, urn or installation should reflect something meaningful and personal to our clients. Every design is unique to our clients and the story they have to tell.
In a nutshell

About us
We are Riki & Tasha: friends, colleagues and fellow corporate world escapees - we can't help but think strategically about how flowers engage people, and often say so much more than any words can. But mainly we feel incredibly lucky that we get to wake up every morning and work in and with nature. And we want to share that luck and joy with as many people as we can...
